Saya over at Dramas Over Flowers has written a wonderful piece about Diversity in Dramaland that discusses the issues with race that my rant on Backstreet Rookie tangentially referenced but didn’t go into.
It’s a well-researched and informed piece that helps to shed some light on the issues of diversity and the portrayal of Otherness in Korean dramas.
I highly recommend it.
