…It’s off to rehab we go.
Mum has been referred to the Belgian Gardens community rehabilitation centre. This is where she will access her allied health support once she’s been sent home (probably next week).
Dad and I took Mum out to the centre yesterday for her initial assessment. We also discussed what rehab will be available and how people like Mum can access it. We’ll hopefully know by next Thursday what Mum’s programme will look like but it should be several days a week of inter-professional services from an Allied Health team similar to the one Mum had at SACU.
The programme is funded for 10 weeks, after which we’ll see how we go.
