Newsworthy

As you all know, Mum loves entertaining.

In July she, with the help of her sister, put on a morning tea for the staff of SACU. The food was supplied by Mocha Mecha (Shop 2/ 237 Riverside Blv Douglas QLD 4814, try the pink sandwich-shaped lamingtons – they’re possibly the main reason Mum hasn’t met her weight loss gains) and the staff and other patients all had a great time.

As it turns out, Mum’s cooking class was planting a garden that day and, as Mum ventured outside to plant some vegetables, a local news outlet filmed her doing it. The planting was part of a Neighbourhood Garden project funded by Townsville City Council.

As you can see from the photo (below), Mum made the local news!

  1. Morning tea looks wonderful. Gen the gardener, and in the news!
