Quick update

Apologies for not being the most dedicated blogger lately. Thankfully I have this afternoon off and will be updating the blog with all the news from the last few weeks.

It’s most important to let you know that Mum is doing very well at the moment. Her TIAs seem to have stopped and SACU have switched her to a new pain medication that makes her much less drowsy. The speech therapist says Mum has quickly recovered to where she was before the mini-stroke set her back. She’s also a model physio patient and the physio department are using her as a case study to highlight the work they do.

I’ve attached a great photo of Mum standing up (!) with an I Love Physio sign. I’d also like to send a big big thank you to Sally McHugh who’s been in Townsville attending therapy sessions with Mum. We’re all very grateful for how generous you’ve been with your time. Mum was also happy to get a visit from her little brother, who she still insists on calling ‘stinkpot’. So thanks, Uncle Bill, for not letting that get you down!! Trust me, Mum was very happy to see you.
