The Bells (belles) of St Anne’s are Mum’s old school friends and they came in force today to see Mum and participate in her OT session.
As well as Sally McKew from Mum’s teaching days, Sandra (Steward) Ford, Robyn (Washbourne) Bailey, and Anne (Wright) Harridan all had a jolly catch up with Mum in the coffee shop with coffee and melting moments, much to my amusement since Mum’s become such a cake fiend. Socialising like this is therapy so it counted as part of Mum’s OT session.
After coffee, it was time to help Mum write the cookbook she and Deirdre are planning called SINKS: Single Income Numerous Kids. It’s a cookbook devoted to making big, cheap, nutritious meals for a large family. Mum and her OT wrote the prologue and two recipes: Chicken Paprika and Chicken Pavan. Next up I believe is Chicken and French Mustard (we’re in the “one whole chicken” part of the book).
Mum was excited that Sandra brought her embroidery in and said that it was exquisite. Sandra is embroidering squares for a quilt for her granddaughter.
Mum says hello to any St Anne’s girls reading the blog and wanted to thank Robyn Henry for all her good wishes.
