The local Kokoda pool in Mundingburra is set up so people in a wheelchair can go swimming. Or at least to immerse themselves in the water in a submersible wheelchair.
Dad took Mum to Kokoda today and she absolutely loved the feeling of finally getting back into the water. She said this was the first time since the stroke that she didn’t have any pain – neuropathic or arthritic – and that must have been amazing.
