Going Home

Before Mum had a stroke, she left Single Street for a few weeks for a holiday and is now faced with the prospect she may never come back. With the move to Townsville looming, Mum got permission to leave the hospital for an hour on Saturday and to come home.

Ben and Max had outdone themselves making Mum a giant afternoon tea with friends and family. They pulled out the special china (my china!) and put on a spread for all. Ben, Max, and Dad were there of course as well as Mum’s brother, Bill and Mum’s good friends Jane P, Jane B, Annie, Sally and Iris. They all brought food as well and had a lovely high tea in the garden downstairs.

Here’s some photos of Mum travelling to Single Street and of course the spread.

Mum said it was great to see the house again before she goes to Townsville and wants to thank Ben and Max for all their hard work.
